(2nd June 2008) Back In Pen Sieve Mood

Submission issue 17Submission 17 includes the rules for the Palmprint 2008 Prize Erotic CP Short Story Competition which, once again, is free to enter. There’s also a report on the 2007 comp plus a profile of a famous spanking fan and a look at judicial corporal punishment worldwide.

Still on the judicial front, Sarah explores the legal position on consensual corporal punishment whilst editor Charles Barr overviews the erotic publishing industry. Last, but certainly not least, there’s prize-winning fiction in the form of Not Plan A by the talented Ruth Fredrick.

(20th March 2008) Best Review

Kane 102

The latest issue of Kane reviews Palmprint’s anthology Sixteen of the Best. They said:

Disobedient girls in a reformatory howl under the cane in the opening story of this corporal punishment anthology. The headmaster enjoys taking each wrongdoer to task and prolonging her humiliation: ‘She knows she cannot win and her agonised buttocks will turn her into a dancing puppet, wheedling and beseeching to be spared.’

Buttocks aren’t spared when Lydia angers her master at a private sex club. She’s spanked, taken anally and made to masturbate in front of an avid male audience. Slave girl Aquistana is even more humiliated when she’s forced to spread her virgin buttocks before a cruel overseer.

These sixteen stories all won prizes in Palmprint’s annual CP erotic writing competition so the standard is very high. There’s also a diverse range of settings. Most of the stories involve young women being soundly chastened, but there’s also a story where a masochistic youth deliberately breaks the law in order to enjoy an old fashioned British birching, and a story in which a detective visits a pro-domme.

The editor, Sarah Veitch, provides an introduction and an arousing bonus story set in a woman’s prison plus a short section called For Writers Only which describes the type of entries received in the various competitions. This makes for fascinating reading and will be very useful to anyone who enters writing comps or who just wants to make their readers letters to Kane as good as they can possibly be!

This issue of Kane includes an interview with a spanking parties girl, a reader’s experience of caning a friend’s wife, photo stories, a report on Josie’s 40th birthday bash, readers letters and contact ads.

(20th March 2008) Sweet Sixteen

Submission issue 16Sarah’s taking us - her contrite webmasters - to task for this very belated update for Submission 16.

As well as all of the usual suspects like Spanking In The News and Book Barr, there’s a profile of sadistic filmmaker Andy Milligan, an Agony Aunt page and a prize-winning short story Come Here by Katharine Tyler Brooks.

(1st October 2007) Women's Rites

Mammoth Book of Lesbian Erotica There’s a little femme2femme in Sixteen Of The Best, but if you want wall to wall sapphistry, check out the Mammoth Book of Lesbian Erotica, published by Constable Robinson. Sarah provides the opening story, A Taste for Pain.

(2nd July 2007) Celebrity Spankings

Submission issue 15Everyone from singer Carly Simon to author Ian Fleming features in issue fifteen of Submission - you’d be surprised at how many people have an interest in erotic adult spanking! It also includes an interview with Palmprint’s very own artist, James Hamilton.

Several of our readers relate their own experiences of CP, from Bob who was caned for money at school to Den who has fantasies about being dominated by a female dragon. (A human one in the form of Deborah Meaden - our readers aren’t mad!)

Looking for something to read? Then check out Sarah Recommends or Charles Recommends. There’s also a bibliographic of recently published erotic books plus a brief overview of spanking in the news.

Last, but certainly not least, there’s the wonderful story Rubious by Mark Ramsden (author of several humorous BDSM novels published by Serpent’s Tail) which came second in our 2006 short story competition.

Palmprint are now accepting stories for this year’s comp, which, as usual is free to enter and offers cash prizes for the winning entries.

(21st Jan 2007) Spanking Confessions

Submission issue 14Girls are telling it like it is in issue fourteen of Submission which explores the intriguing experiences of submissive and dominant females. Meanwhile an awfully-pretty-yet-pretty-awful TV presenter is extensively re-educated in Bruce Anderson’s 1st prize story Think Pink. Sarah comments on the three winning stories of Palmprint's 2006 Erotic CP Short Story Competition and offers suggestions for those planning to enter in 2007.

As usual, there are lively readers letters - star letters usually win a book, but to encourage people to get their biros out, Palmprint are currently offering a CP magazine too. In this issue subscribers have written in about American erotic words, about breast versus buttock fixation and about a medical presenter who features in a male readers’ submissive fantasies.

There’s also an extended book and magazine section as well as the usual Sarah Recommends. Click here to go to the Submission page on the Palmprint website.

(1st Sept 2006) For Pete's Sake

Submission issue 13The sun is out, the sky is blue and issue thirteen of Submission has just been printed. It explores the sexuality of talented Pete Doherty and overviews a spanking crime case featuring a respected thespian. There’s a prize-winning short story from James Baron entitled Beloved Birch and a short-but-not-so-sweet editorial looking at the erotic books marketplace.

Submission also offers all the usual CP suspects, namely Sarah Recommends, spanking in the media and a lively readers letters slot.

(9th May 2006) Larkin About

Submission issue 12 Issue twelve of Submission includes a look at the latently sadomasochistic novels of Philip Larkin and at the much more out-there spanking proclivities of actor Jack Nicholson. Way to go, Jack.

This issue also includes a brief (ahem) illustrated look at directoire knickers and the latest exploration of spanking on TV. There are readers' letters about breast play, riding crops and why people are attracted to CP.

Submission twelve showcases the writing of Alicia Wag, who took second place in the 2005 short story comp. Herein you’ll also find the rules for the Palmprint Erotic CP Short Story Competition 2006 with prizes of £100, £50 and £25. As usual, it's free to enter so unsheath your quill pens. (Er, not literally - typewritten entries only, please!)

(10th March 2006) Bizarre Reading

Bizarre 109 Sarah is interviewed in the April issue of Bizarre magazine. Tagged as Spank Me! on the cover, their staff writer, James Doorne, compiled an A - Z Of Spanking, with V standing - or should that be bending? - for Veitch.

The article is lavishly illustrated with photos of young women being spanked, paddled and caned, and there’s also a picture of restraint equipment plus a page of paddles called Smack My Bitch Up. The magazine has fun with the idea of adult punishment but never descends to the 'these deviants' approach that the tabloids take.

(5th January 2006) Sarah's New Shorts

Reformed Characters Sarah’s third CP collection Reformed Characters is published on 6th February by Palmprint Publications.

The book contains seventeen short stories in which naughty grown up girls - and a couple of errant young men - receive their just desserts.
